Why Choose Jojoba Essential Oil?
Jojoba Essential Oil (simmondsia chinensis) is actually a liquid wax – not an essential oil. It is commonly used as a carrier oil due to its mild scent and its ability to take on and enhance the scents of the essential oils added to it. Unlike other carrier oils, Jojoba does not stain and does not go bad. It penetrates the skin, aiding with the absorption of essential oils, unlike other carrier oils that just sit on top of the skin. Jojoba is hypoallergenic and rich in Vitamin E, making it an ideal carrier oil. The abundance of Vitamin E in Jojoba promotes a healthy complexion. It can be used as a lip balm or a face and hair moisturizer to soothe dry or irritated skin. It can also lessen the look of wrinkles and relieve the symptoms of chronic skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.

Jojoba Essential Oil or Jojoba (pronounced “ho-ho-ba”) is a favourite carrier oil. It closely resembles the sebum of the skin, and is rich in vitamin E. This promotes a glowing complexion. This Clear variety of Jojoba has been put through a charcoal filter removing the colour and odour.
This ensures the benefits in manufacturing without the risk of odour or product decolorization. It is also important to note that Jojoba may go cloudy in cool temperatures. It will return to its clear state with warming. This is natural as Phospholipids (natural components of most vegetable oils) hydrate and precipitate out of suspension. The sediment is extremely high in beneficial vitamin E and will only create problems if the oil is heated to extreme temperatures where they will darken and precipitate out of suspension. Any sediment can be decanted out wherever practical.
